This Christmas tree tea light display/decoration would be a great addition to your Christmas decorations. The stained glass panel measures 4 5/8 inches tall by 5 7/8 inches wide. It is made with various strips of green glass with the packages in red, white, purple, bluish-green, yellow and pink glass with a brown trunk. The glass is a mix of opaque and translucent glass.
I have paired it with a stand I made from reclaimed wood stand from an old house we remolded. The base measures 5 1/8 inches deep by 3 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches thick. It is very old reclaimed wood I loved the interesting markings I found when I cut into it.(see side pic) I stained the wood with a natural stain and added a low sheen polyurethane. I have notched the wood so that the glass panel slides right in. (The notch is slightly less than 1/4 if you wish to use the candle holder base for year round art display.) I made a place for a tea light candle at the back and I am also including a glass tea light holder and a battery operated tea light.(candle color may vary). It would also make a great gift.
A bit about my glass work each piece of glass has been hand selected, cut and ground to shape then assembled using the Tiffany method with copper foil applied to all edges and then soldered. Most of my pieces have black patina applied because it contrasts so well with the glass but I have a few with copper and silver. I try very hard not to have a lot of waste glass that why you will see wall art pieces and mosaics in my shop.
PLEASE NEVER LEAVE A LIT CANDLE UNATTENDED.
