This purple airplane stained glass suncatcher measures 1 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/8 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches long (nose to tail). It is made with streaky and translucent purple glass. I finished it with a black patina. I think it would even be a cute Christmas ornament.
A bit about my glass work each piece of glass has been hand selected, cut and ground to shape then assembled using the Tiffany method with copper foil applied to all edges and then soldered. Most of my pieces have black patina applied because it contrasts so well with the glass but I have a few with copper and silver. I try very hard not to have a lot of waste glass that why you will see wall art pieces and mosaics in my shop.
I take a lot of my pictures outside (because the light is better) but my pieces are designed to be used inside.
It would also make a great gift.
