This art display stand is made from a piece of walnut wood I picked up at my local salvage place. The slot is the widest one I have done wide enough for multilayer fused glass or even some thin mosaics.
It measures 5 7/8 inches wide by 2 1/8 inches deep by 1 7/8 inches tall. the slot that holds the art is about 3/8 of an inch wide (that's 5 nickels tight). Please measure the thickest part of your artwork to determine fit.
This wood was naturally dark so all I added was a low sheen polyurethane.
