I made this monochromatic dragonfly stained glass and I mounted it on this great piece of cedar with unusual markings. I loved the color of the wood and only added a low sheen polyurethane. The dragonfly is made from 3 different shades of blue stained glass and I added wire legs, eyes and antenna and finished it with a black patina. I have added a piece of jute for easy hanging
The total height measures 16 1/2 inches with the hanging cord. The wood measures 9 inches tall by 6 1/8 inches wide by over 1 inches deep. The dragonfly measures 6 1/2 inches wide by about 4 inches tall( not including the antenna.
My pieces are designed to be used inside.
It would also make a great gift.
