This a slice of a cedar tree that was damaged in a storm. I made a display stand for art, fused glass or stained glass out of it. It had some small worm holes on the top and I left them showing and stained it with a pecan stain which really brought out the red color and sealed it with a low sheen polyurethane.
It measures 3 1/4 inches wide by 3 1/4 inches deep and 2 inches tall. The slot that holds the art is a bit more than 3/16 inch wide. (that's 3 nickels) Some foiled stained glass will fit but 1/4 lead or zinc came pieces will not. Please check the thickness of your piece at its thickest piece before ordering.
This listing is the wood piece only no art included.
These stands will also hold flat canvas art and tin/metal signs.
