This unique stained glass panel features 2 panels sections containing pieces of a hornets nest. Yes you read that right I found this papery substance/ the outside layer of a hornets nest while on a walk. It had such an interesting look that I sandwiched it between 2 thin layers of glass and placed them in this purple and gray stained glass panel. Some of the stained glass pieces are translucent and some are more opaque some are also textured. Each piece has been hand cut and ground smooth before I wrapped all the edges in copper foil and soldered it together. I wrapped the outside edges with zinc came for added strength and finished it with a black patina. It is ready to ship and would make a great gift.
It measures 9 3/4 inches tall (not counting hanging chain) by 8 1/8 inches wide. With black hanging chain it measures 15 1/4 inches tall.
This one has hanging points on all 4 corners so if you like it better landscape vs portrait all you need to do is move the hanging chain.
