I have always loved the teardrop shape so it was only natural that I made this floral honeycomb. It features a light pink/mauve flower with a deep mauve/plum center and it's surrounded by several shades of yellow, gold and amber hexagons. I wrapped the edges with zinc came and finished it all with a black patina. Some of the glass pieces are translucent while and some are textured glass. The glass I use for all my pieces have streaks, bubbles and fold or crease lines in the glass for a more interesting look. Each piece has been hand cut and ground smooth prior to applying copper foil to edges and soldering it all together. I added a lead came border, a hanging ring and finished it all with a black patina.
It measures 7 3/8 inches tall with out the twisted hanging ring and 8 inches with it and it is 4 3/4 inches wide.
